David Fischweicher has been a sculptor for the past 30 years. He studied art at the University of Bridgeport, Cornell University, Westchester Community College
and the Westchester Art Workshop. There he studied with Leslie Dor,Carol Stone, and Barbara Segal. He has been over the years a member of the NYC Art Teachers Association, Mamaroneck Artists Guild, Monmouth County Art Alliance,YOHO artists group,Westchester Art Assn., and the Blue Door Gallery, among others.
Mr. Fischweicher has shown with NYC Art Teachers Association in shows at Sotheby’s, The Levitan Gallery, and Flushing Meadows Theater. He has participated in National Juried shows at Bethune Gallery and the Seagrams Building . Mr. Fischweicher, under a grant from the Guggenheim Museum, helped students P.S174 build a sculpture garden and a ceramic tile wall mural for the school. He has also shown at Secrets Gallery, The Windham Fine Arts Gallery, Upstream Gallery, Westchester Council for The Fine Arts,Iona College, The Sculpture Forum at the Westchester County Courthouse [for 2 years]
He has won statewide competitions in New Jersey and awards in various galleries over the years and is part of the permanent collection of The Westchester County Court House.
